Drying out on scrubbing grid
Rival 38c
We are thinking of using the scrubbing grid at Suffolk Yacht Harbour, Levington this weekend. Does anyone have any thoughts on the practicalities of this with a Rival, in particular how best to balance the boat on a concrete surface bearing in mind the hollow sump at the aft end of the keel? When we have had her lifted out and put in a cradle, we normally ask the yard to avoid putting any weight on the sump and put in suitable chocks to facilitate this. Would it be better to dry her out facing forwards- i.e. slightly uphill, or facing outwards and so downhill? Or will she be absolutely fine whatever?
