New transducers

What to be in with?
Posted: 30 Nov 2014 - By: Geoff Crowley

I'm changing instrumentation this winter, removing old Airmar senders and putting in new (NASA). While the speed log is same diamtere housing, the depth transducer has a slimmer shaft than existing. What is a good material to be these in with? How about that stuff for repairing gelcoat? ("Plastic Padding", yellow box 2 pack material in squeezy tubes - filler and hardener)

Digging the old ones out they appear to be bedded in with some white hard compound like that?
