Fixing the seat squab
Posted: 12 Oct 2013 - By: Christopher Derrett
I don't know if all R 34 are similar but when I bought Hound I was supplied with a loose seat squab cushion with a hard base that I understood should be mounted to swing up as an extra seat around the table at the stern end. The squab has two brass hinges on one side but there is no sign of corresponding holes where one might expect them. There are two groups of holes in a vertical pattern on the centre of the side panel where it should mount. I suspect this was for a swing out knee that would support the squab.
Any advice pictures drawings on how to mount this appreciated. I just had the whole suite of cushions recovered including this orphan item.
