singel strand wire
We have had a perennial problem with getting suitable single strand wire to put round the back of the tiller which goes through the two bolts that hold the tiller to the rudder shaft. I have used all sorts of thing including (in a crisis) some brazing rods bought in Falmouth. It seems that the working stresses are not suited to stainless as an attempt to use some stainless wire broke in a relatively short space of time.
Does anyone kow where we could source a suitble length of galvanized wire - probably around 2 - 3 mm?
The usual DIY outlets and chandlers don't seem to be able to help. Ditto Jimmy Green or the web.
Thanks in advance
Roger
