setting up a crusing chute

I have acquired a cruising chute for Sarah G and have been looking at ways of setting it up.  Given the standard setup with the front post of the pulpit connecting to the stemhead fitting I cannot see a way of having a block attached forward of the pulpit.

Does anyone know how it is done?
