Removing Anti Slip Coverings - Any Tips
Restoration of decks
Hi,
The deck of Sruth has an anti slip covering called, I believe "Treadmark". Its the one with the diamond pattern. The original GRP deck was moulded with a non slip surface which was periodically painted with a non slip paint.
I would like to remove the anti slip covering and was wondering if its possible. The best method would be if there is a chemical product which breaks up the glue.
Where the anti slip covering has lifted the glue has dried to a darkish tan colour, is hard to the touch and sticks pretty well to the GRP.
I do not want to apply a new covering as I would prefer to have the original finish painted again.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Alastair
