Heaters and cowls
Problems with a diesel cabin heater.
We have just installed a diesel cabin heater in our R32 "Muggins". It works well until the wind gets above 25 knots, when it smokes or even blows out.
The manufacturers suggest a balanced flue, involving a second vent through the roof, attached by another flue pipe to the bottom of the heater. This is difficult to fit and ugly.
I have heard that others have solved a similar problem with an "H" cowl. Does anyone have any experience of this, or any tips to help out?
